Sad HP Ending...

oh it was the saddest thing...last night before i went to bed, drew came up to me and i could clearly see that something had upset him. when i asked him what was wrong he replied, "snape is the half blood prince. and dumbledore is dead." whoa! that was a blow even to me!!! i was open to almost anyone being the half blood prince, but dumbledore's death was totally unexpected! and if drew was not upset enough, i had to tell him that the next book has not even been released yet and that he had to wait until this summer to read the rest! the look on his face-man. poor kid. he only had one more chapter to go and was looking forward to going on to the next book. i laid on the couch and listened while he read the last chapter, and fell asleep.

i feel better this morning, still stuffy though. i hope to get some scrapping in today as the three older kids are at enrichment day from 10am-2pm. i can put the other three down for a nap and have some quiet time for myself. oh i can't wait, i have a date with myself!!!

LOL Ok that was like a foreign language to me. I don't know what or who a snape or dumbledore are. But I came to drop off this little form message for everyone on my blogroll:

just letting you know that I changed the URL to my blog. It's now http://shannonbieger.blogspot.com

Oh I was so sad by that too! Took me days to get over reading the book.

My husband is a speed reader.. he read HP in about 6 hours.. We have a rule. He gets the book for the first 24 hours and he can not say a word.. Then I stttttrreeeeetchhh it out for as long as possible because it is sooo long between books. And I was doing OK. I knew snape was the 1/2 blood prince..

It all happened a little late one night.. I picked up from where I had left off and intended to read a few lines before bed... i ended up flicking and reading as fast as I could between tears...it was 2am.. and Dumbledore was dead.

I have no idea how children process this. I know that adults read these books at a deeper level..and that is the magic of them.. but seriously I was devastated... give Drew a big hug from me! Just had to share that -

and feel better soon!
