hircuts and a funny story....

i am contemplating cutting my hair this spring...i love the look of short, it's cute, but can be high maintenance for me. and i need little to no maintenance hair. i have no time to do my hair everyday. as of now, all i have to do to it is wash it and get a relaxer every other month. i curl it only when i have somewhere important to go, otherwise it's just straight and i pull it back at night. so i am really a practical kind of girl, and i am not really frivolous. getting a short hairstyle for me feels like a waste of money since within a month my hair will have grown out and i would be back at the salon trying to maintain the style...BUT, i want to try something new, something sassy, i want to look cute! the few times i have gotten my hair cut i feel empowered, i feel light, i feel pretty. then after a few weeks i regret the decision to cut it. then i wait. and while i wait, i spend a week putting it in braids, which lasts for about 3 months. then i relax it. and just wear it straight until i start getting grand delusions of cutting it short again. maybe i can just go to the salon and get something pretty done to it leaving it the length it is. maybe get some color. always wanted to try some red...

i was reading gina's blog this morning and she totally inspired me to do some spring/easter crafts with my kids. so i need to add go to michaels to my do do list for this week. devyn has been asking when we are going to get the house ready for Easter, so here we go...

a funny story. last week at cubbies we talked about the story of the shepherd who had 100 sheep and one had gone missing. so he had 99 sheep and one lost, who, he went to find to return to the fold. ok so, cubbies are 3 and 4 year olds who almost always have something cute to say. one little girl raised her hand and when she was called on, proceeded to say, "when i was lost, Jesus found me." all the adults said "awwwww, how sweet". well, then others began to raise their hand to cite the following, "when i was lost, Jesus found me", "one time i was lost, and Jesus found me" it went on all around the room like this, and one kid said, "one time, i was lost in the bushes, and Jesus found me." lol. but then my kid. my 3year old, raised his hand and said, "i was lost, Jesus found me and gave me a spanking." lovely huh?

i am hoping that today i will be able to get some scrapping done since i am always bad after coming back from not being on the computer for a few days. i find it hard to jump back in creatively for some reason. but i need to take a break from the computer for a bit right now and tackle some laundry, and figure out what to make for dinner. hopefully i'll have something by way of a layout to post later...

LOL! Too funny with your son! I think you should just go for it with your hair. You've probably seen mine and it used to be long and last time I was in the states my friend chopped it off!! My husband didn't even recognize me. If you don't like it, it will always grow out. Have fun with it :)
