when you heart is heavy, SING!

i am just in a state of...i don't even know. i can't seem to get with it. all day i have only been able to think about the devastation that is taking place in louisiana. everytime i see more footage i just want to cry. right now, all i can do is pray for them. and i have been. several times throughout the day. but i still have this aching feeling within me. i look at my thriving baby toddling around as he has just learned to walk and then knowing that there are other mothers down there who have lost everything and agonizing over the fact that they can't give their child basic food and water. it breaks my heart. we will be making a donation and continue to lift everyone in the gulf states in prayer...

in an attempt to make this a little more upbeat, i have to say, i love music, and i love to sing. especially when i am downhearted. singing praises just lifts me. i just bought shawn mcdonald's cd and i love it! i wondered if i would like it after hearing the first two singles on the radio, but when i heard 'gravity' i knew then that i would own this cd. as soon as i purchased it i opened it and popped it in the cd player in the car- oh man!! the music started playing and it sounded so crisp- radio does not do 'take my hand' justice, and oh, the second track is 'gravity' and there is only one way to listen to it- LOUD! so i always crank it up on that one. then the track titled 'beautiful'- close your eyes and let the words sink in, you will cry. he definately has a style different from other contemporary christian artists, but oh in a good way! so MISS JENN- if you are reading this my music partnah-
check out his music
while we eagerly await the release of the new switchfoot album on the 13th- yay!

Hey Miss L!

I'm so sad! I just can't stop crying! It's just so unfathomable that all those people could go that many days with no supplies. I'd never have believed it was possible here! Singing gets me through too! I listen to the Christian station, and I have lots of Christian CD's, but I don't recognize this man's name. I'll have to check it out! TFS!
