nothing eventful here folks...

it's already saturday again! it went by so fast- let me see if i can recap my week.
1. aside from the tons and tons of laundry, and the cooking, ( i cooked all week this week except one day- woo hoo!)
2. i basically tried to stay home all week since something inside me had said,"no more half-stepping with this potty training mess- let's do this thing." so now deacon is trained and is doing pretty well.
3. i have been getting up early and trying to read my Bible. the first day, i got up at 5:30am and before 6, two kids were up with me, and by 7 they were all up. i don't have another plan!!! i was as quiet as i could be, how do they sense that i am trying to have a peaceful time? everyday (but almost) was not like that, i wasn't able to get up at 5:30 all week, but i would like to have something a little more consistent going.
um, lets see...
4. i refilled my thyroid medication
5. i shipped amy's package
6. i went to check on a violin for devyn, but the guy i needed to speak to wasn't in the store that day so now i have to go back on sunday. watch- by then they won't have the one i am looking for.
7. i managed to get out of the house without the kids and went birthday shopping for devyn. she likes anything barbie so i got her a new birthday barbie to replace the one she lost two birthdays ago, and an azura doll from the fairytopia series. she also wanted clothes so i got her a couple of new outfits. since her birthday is today, she won't get the violin. i am really excited about her taking lessons. jay really wants her to play piano, but drew and camryn already play piano, and i want devyn to do something different- besides, she has said she doesn't want to play piano. she wants to play the violin. that's my girl.
8. we are still pushing along with drew's new curriculum. i am still not loving it. although, i like the fact that he is responsible for his own assignments and i don't have to set it up for him everyday like before, i kind of feel left out of the loop. every subject is done on the computer now but i am thinking i am going to have to do a one on one science class with him. i don't like switched on schoolhouse's science lessons. so, i'll need to put that on my "to do" list.
ok- that's all i can remember of my week, as it was a blur- yet, it was non-eventful. sigh... such is my life.
